WWE Clash at the Castle: Preview and Predictions

WWE Clash at the Castle is taking place Saturday, September 3rd in a nearly sold-out Principality Stadium in Cardiff Wales starting live at 1PM EST on the Peacock app. This will be WWE’s fourth stadium show this year along with both nights of Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, and Summer Slam.

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

After Baszler won a gauntlet match a few weeks back on Smackdown it has been that she would be next in line to face Liv Morgan. Since then, Baszler has been targeting the already-injured arm of Morgan which was injured by Ronda Rousey. Morgan has not backed down though from the attacks of Baszler and is going to go into Clash at the Castle with a disadvantage, but that won’t slow her down as she has been a fighting Champion.

Prediction: Liv Morgan retains

Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle

A grudge match that has been building since the middle of July when Rollins injured Riddle and this match that was originally planned for Summer Slam was canceled because of it even though Riddle showed up to Summer Slam and called out Rollins only to eat a curb stomp. Riddle is now cleared and the match is made official for Clash at the Castle, these two have not been able to keep their hands off each other any chance they get they start brawling and have to be separated even before an episode of Monday Night Raw they fought in the parking lot, later that night during the Raw broadcast they had a “face-off” via satellite to keep them separated and Rollins made things personal bringing up Riddle’s real-life breakup with his ex-wife and his children.

Prediction: Riddle wins

Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Judgement Day( Finn Balor and Damian Preist)

What is seemingly the end of the Edge and Mysterios against Judgement Day feud the former WWE Tag Team Champions reunite to battle the two men who not only have been trying to make the Mysterio’s life a living hell but also two of the three members that kicked Edge out of Judgement Day. Dominik Mysterio will be in his father’s and Edge’s corner and Rhea Ripley will be in her stable mate’s corner she has attacked Dominik Mysterio on multiple occasions.

Prediction: Judgement Day wins

Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley, IYO Sky, and Dakota Kai

After Belair defeated Becky Lynch at Summer Slam Bayley made her long-awaited return but she wasn’t alone. She was joined by IYO Sky and Dakota Kai, who targeted not only Belair but also the next night on Raw attacked Becky Lynch and interrupted Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss attacking both. Becky Lynch is out as of now with a separated shoulder but Belair Asuka and Bliss are here to battle Bayley, Sky, and Kai.

Prediction: Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO Sky win

Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) vs. Sheamus

This is going to be a barn burner as these two are just going to fight and beat the holy hell out of each other. Sheamus earned this opportunity in a 5-way Match on Smackdown a few weeks back and ever since the wrestling world has been waiting in excitement to see this match.

Prediction: Gunther retains

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

This one is for all the marbles, Reigns vs McIntyre. It has been a story that has been told over multiple mini feuds with each other that McIntyre just can’t seem to beat Roman Reigns in singles action, he is 0-4. Their last 1 on 1 encounter was at Survivor Series 2020 in a Champion vs. Champion Match where McIntyre looked to nearly defeat Reigns but again come up just short. McIntyre in a place very close to home for him he looks to defeat Reigns in the biggest match of his career can he get the job done?

Prediction: Drew McIntyre wins
