Predicting The WWE King and Queen of the Ring

We are a month away from WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring premium live event that will take place May 25th, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There is currently no clear indication in who may be booked to win. This leaves the speculation and rumors to us, the fans. It is unclear what the winner of each tournament will receive, although Gunther claimed he will choose which title he will choose to chase after winning the tournament. It still remains unclear if that is the prize upon winning the tournament.

Although we still have the WWE Draft and Backlash to get through, it will be fun to speculate early on. I will provide a favorite, dark horse and longshot winner for both the men’s and women’s tournament below. Leave your own predictions below!

Queen of the Ring

Favorite: Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair is an early favorite due to her taking a backseat in the Women’s main event scene since November. This year at WrestleMania 40 broke Belair’s 3-year stretch of being in one of the major Women’s Championship matches at Mania. This could lead to Belair gaining a Championship match and she would likely go after Bayley furthering their tension as Belair still has issues with Bayley due to their past rivalry.

Dark Horse: Tiffany Stratton

It’s Tiffy Time! Well maybe, Stratton has been super over with the live crowds and fans all over Pro Wrestling forums she has star written all over her. Queen of the Ring could be used to catapult someone into the Main event scene as it has for many back in the day and WWE could do just that with Tiffany Stratton.

Long-Shot: Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair is an intriguing long-shot due to the fact she is currently injured and has been since December with a Torn MCL, ACL, and Meniscus, so it is not likely but we have seen these extraordinary Superstars make miracles happen with injury timetables. Never rule out Charlotte Flair, especially when the Title “Queen” is involved.

Favorite: Gunther

Gunther is the odds-on favorite for the King of the Ring. It is the perfect way to get him back on track after his 666-day Intercontinental Championship Reign ended at WrestleMania 40. This would add immediate Prestige back to the Ring General Gunther. He is a pretty self-explanatory pick.

Dark Horse: Finn Balor

Balor would be such an interesting pick to win the tournament it would not only bring more Prestige to the Judgment Day, but it would get Finn a possible serious push. This could also play into the ongoing story of Judgement Day tension especially with Rhea Ripley not being around to be the peacemaker like last year this time it will be Damian Preist with his ego at an all time high as World Heavyweight Champion but Finn Balor also having eyes on that World Heavyweight Championship as the last time he held a major Championship he never lost it.

Long-Shot: Ilja Dragunov

With Dragunov just losing his NXT Championship to Trick Williams on the latest NXT Episode, this likely means a main roster call-up during the WWE Draft which takes place before the King and Queen of the Ring event. This gives WWE a chance to launch Dragunov into the stratosphere as a major player on the main roster right away and maybe even meet is foe Gunther in the finals.
