On Thursday, the NBA Finals came to a close as the Toronto Raptors secured the series in a mere six-game set. This marks the first title in franchise history for the Raptors.

As a result of the series, Kawhi Leonard was named as the NBA Finals MVP. He averaged 28.5 points, alongside 4.2 assists and 9.8 rebounds in the series.

Since the Raptors traded DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poelti and their first-round draft pick to acquire Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green from the San Antonio Spurs, it’s been the biggest blessing for Toronto.

For the Warriors, how do they react to this loss? Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and DeMarcus Cousins are scheduled to become free agents this summer, as the front office has a lot of decisions to make.

Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors for a dominant series and their first of possibly many NBA titles.
