Yankees Sign 1B Ike Davis

Davis was previously playing Triple-A Round Rock for the Rangers, hitting .268 with 4 homeruns and 25 RBIs.
The highlight of Davis’ career so far was back in 2012, where he slammed 32 homers and 90 RBIs. After that season, Davis quickly cooled down, as he went on to play for the Mets in 2013 and then the Pirates after that.
In 2015, Davis played for the Oakland Athletics, where he underwent season-ending surgery on his right labrum. He would hit .229 in 72 games played.
The Yankees have lost Greg Bird, Mark Texeria, Dustin Ackley, and Parmelee due to injury, so they hope that Davis can provide a sense of security for them.
Will this signing play out well for the Yankees? Or will injuries continue to haunt this roster?
