
After reports came out that WWE was going to let people go, we can confirm that multiple wrestlers will be forced to find work elsewhere. On Wednesday, the WWE released Drake Maverick, Curt Hawkins, Karl Anderson, EC3, Lio Rush, Heath Slater, Eric Young, Luke Gallows, Aiden English, Kurt Angle and Sarah Logan, Erick Rowan, Epico Colon, Primo Colón, Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis
Alongside the people that got released, on Wednesday WWE also released Zack Ryder, No Way Jose, Rusev and Deonna Purrazzo.
Outside of wrestlers, several producers are now forced to find work elsewhere. On Wednesday, WWE released Billy Kidman, Mike Rotunda, Dave Finlay, Pat Buck, Shawn Daivari, Scott Armstrong, Sarah Stock, Shane Helms, Lance Storm. The company also fired referee Mike Chioda who has been with the company since 1989.
At the time of the wrestlers being released, Drake Maverick was 34, Curt Hawkins was 34, Karl Anderson was 40, Luke Gallows was 40 and Lio Rush was 25. Kurt Angle was 51, Heath Slater was 36, Eric Young was 40, EC3 was 37 Aiden English was 32, Sarah Logan was 26. Erick Rowan was 38, Epico Colon was 38, Primo Colón was 37, Mike Kanellis was 34 and Maria Kanellis was 38. Zack Ryder was 34, No Way Jose was 31, Rusev was 34 and Deonna Purrazzo was 25.
Out of everyone that was cut, only Lio Rush, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Sarah Logan and Aiden English were the ones that were shown the most in 2020. Gallows And Anderson were teaming with AJ Styles, Rush was apart of the Cruiserweight Division and English was a commentator on 205 Live. Logan just competed on Monday in a loss to Shayna Bazler in a Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.
