With All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing event happening this weekend, pro wrestling fans will be looking to either praise or to bash the event. From bottom to the top, this card is stacked with matches that have opportunities to be talked about through out the entire year.

After Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said Ring of Honor weren’t able to get 10,000 people to attend their wrestling event, their top stars Cody and the Young Bucks put themselves to the test to see if they could create their own event and prove many others wrong.

They named their event All In which had stars from multiple promotions such as ROH, CMLL, Impact Wrestling, NWA, NJPW and the AAA.

All In had many moments from Jordynne Grace bench pressing Brian Cage to having Flip Gordon making a surprise appearance to win the Over Budget Battle Royal.

Cody honored his father’s legacy, Dusty Rhodes by winning the NWA World Heavyweight title by defeating Nick Aldis in a classic match, before Tessa Blanchard, Britt Baker, Chelsea Green and Madison Rayne tore the roof off the place with their talents.

The show also featured men like Hangman Page, Joey Janela, Jay Lethal, Kenny Omega, Penta El Zero, Kazuchika Okada, Marty Scurll, Kota Ibushi, the Young Bucks, Bandido, Rey Fenix and Rey Mysterio play an amazing part with making it a memorable night of professional wrestling.

Months passed after All In and with fans expecting All In 2, they were then treated to rumors and speculations of a pro wrestling promotion being created by the same people who made All In a reality.

These rumors came true when Shahid and his son, the Co-owner to the Jacksonville Jaguars Tony Khan took the chance by helping Cody, Matt & Nick Jackson, plus others by making the promotion a reality.

Funding from Tony Khan will not just help AEW go against the likes of the WWE, but Cody, the Young Bucks and Omega being named the executive vice presidents of AEW, while Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes being the Chief Brand Officer will start to make AEW worth watching from their inaugural PPV event Double or Nothing to any future events.

Double or Nothing will feature many matches that have a lot of potential to make a huge point in their inaugural show. From the Young Bucks taking on the Lucha Bros for the AAA Tag Team titles, to Britt Baker taking on Kylie Rae and also the first Transgender to sign with a major American pro wrestling company, Nyla Rose.

Cody will be taking on his older brother, Dustin in what could be a classic, while Omega and Chris Jericho go 1 on 1 in a rematch for a future title opportunity for the AEW World title against whoever wins the 21-man Casino Battle Royal.

The expectations seen for this inaugural event are very high, fans want to see the best against the best and if they have what it takes to pull off another amazing show. Fans have watched a lot of their favorites get the spotlight taken away from them, and with AEW becoming an actual thing, it has a huge change of it being the next big thing for years/decades to come, or it could be a flop and a show that’s not worth seeing.

Double or Nothing will happen on May 25th, in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden arena, it’ll begin at 7 p.m. ET with their pre show being on AEW’s YouTube channel and the Bleacher Reports B/R Live app.

The main show will be at 8 p.m. ET and will be on a majority of cable and satellite providers for a price of 50$, UK and Ireland can watch it through ITV Box Office (£14.95 in the U.K., and £17.95 in Ireland). Fans can also watch it on FITE. TV (49.99 Canadian in Canada, the U.S. for $19.99 and everywhere else in the world.
