Why Titans Should Not Draft Tunsil with First Pick

Many experts have been speculating that the Tennessee Titans will select Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil. The fan base is split 50/50 on if it’d be the right decision or not. I say that would be a terrible decision. Of course the Titans have to make protecting their franchise QB their first priority, but you cannot do that with rookie linemen.
In the past 3 years, the Titans have used their first round picks on offensive linemen. While both men aren’t the worst at their position, they have severely under-performed. That’s the gamble teams have to take when drafting linemen in the first round, and history shows the Titans have been 0 for 2 in the last 3 years.
With the bust that Chance Warmack and Taylor Lewan are rapidly becoming, the Titans cannot risk making the same mistake for the third time in four years. Who would be a better choice? Funny you said that. I have two people selected that would make much better first round picks.
The first choice would be CB Jalen Ramsey out of Florida State. A CB is a position that translates really well from college to pros and at this point the Titans need all the help on the secondary they can get. Dare I say that it’s a bigger issue than the offensive line for the Titans?
Another nice option is Joey Bosa out of Ohio State. While the Titans have Jurrell Casey and Brian Orkapo on one side of the line, the other side was lacking this past season with DaQuan Jones and an injured Derrick Morgan. Bringing in Joey Bosa with a healthy Derrick Morgan would be a nightmare for opposing offenses.
