Blackhawks or Lightning? Who is going to take this series and raise the Stanley Cup this year?  If you are a true hockey fan, this year’s Stanley cup is the one to watch. The defensive brut we know as the Chicago Blackhawks against the high pace scoring Tampa Bay Lightning. With the series tied at one a piece, one of these teams star players are going to have to shine.

Here is something to think about; Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Patrick Sharp and Johnathan Toews as the Blackhawks main offensive firepower have combined for only 3 points, all those being from assists.

The same story goes for the Tampa Bay Lightning as their main offensive weapons; Steven Stamkos, Ondrej Palat and Ryan Callahan have combined for 2 points coming off of assists from Callahan’s stick. What this is showing here is that both of these teams are so good that this series is going to come down to a battle to see who’s 3rd and 4th lines are better. You may even witness an underrated player step up in the next few games.

Another thing to watch for is the Lightning’s goalie Ben Bishop. Bishop, who had 40 wins and carried a 2.32 goals, has practically carried his team into the postseason. Last game, he was injured and taken out of the game. With the Lightning keeping what his injury is a secret, no one knows if their big time goalie will be able to play for the rest of the series or how many games he may miss.

In a press conference today they asked a lot of questions towards Ben Bishop and he was eluding all of them, even before the press conference ended he made a statement about how he feels like Seattle Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch because he is going to keep basically everything secret.

Hockey fan or not, watch tonight’s game. Both games so far have came down to nail biting finishes. Now that the series next two games will be in Chicago, it is going to be crucial for the Lightning to find a way to get their beloved captain Steven Stamkos involved into the offense. As for Chicago, they need to get that first line scoring again. No matter what happens though, this series is going to be a classic and will be one of the best you will see for a long time.

As for me I have the Blackhawks in seven and continue the dynasty they have going of winning their 3rd cup in six years.
