Unreal: Bryce Harper Reaches Base 7 Times Without An Official AB

Over the past couple of years, Bryce Harper has established himself as one of, if not the best player in the MLB. He’s arguably been the most threatening hitter to face in baseball. However, the argument is starting become NON arguable.
Sunday Night, the Cubs and Nationals went to battle for 13 innings before the World Series favorite Cubs would eventually pick up the hard fought win. However, the story may have been different if they didn’t go into the game with that strategy.
An unique strategy it was indeed or they were simply fearing throwing the ball to Bryce Harper. The Cubs would walk Harper a total of 6 times and hit Harper with a pitch in the third inning. Harper reached base a total of 7 times in the game without registering an at bat. That’s certainly a rare feat.
I can’t completely blame the Cubs. Give Harper 7 at bats in the game, and he’ll likely smack one or two homeruns that could have given the Nationals a win over the 24-6 Cubs.
