Travis Kelce Staying In Kansas City

In 16 games, Kelce has 72 receptions,875 yards, and 5 touchdowns. Kelce was a big part of the success for the Chiefs. Kelce had good numbers, showing that he has potential to become one of the top tight ends right now in the league.
Kansas City is doing the right thing, signing a big part of the offense to a long term deal. It is better to sign him now then to wait till he is just about to hit free agency. If the team wants to continue the same success from this past season, Kelce will have to be a big part in the success of the team.
Now that Kelce got the long term deal he was looking for, he will have to produce productive numbers season after season, proving that the team made a good decision signing him long term. If Kelce can grow and become a better tight end, he will be looking at a bigger deal with a lot more money when his new deal ends. Kelce should be still in his 20’s by the time this contract ends.
One person that is important to Kelce production is quarterback Alex Smith. With Kelce signed, Smith will have to learn how to use him more in the passing game. Making him a threat in the passing game, Smith will have to look downfield more now looking for Kelce to be open.
