Among the craziness that is the world we live in today, why not break down the top 50 players in the Premier League? There have been stellar new signings and players coming into their own as of late.

The rankings were determined by several analysts and a few different criteria ranging from current ability and form to future potential.

#10 – Andrew Robertson (LB, Liverpool)

Andrew Robertson is by far the best left back in the Premier League and one of the best left backs in the world. He ranked third in the league in assists (12) and is a strong defender in his own right.

#9 – Raheem Sterling (LW, Manchester City)

Raheem Sterling plays a pivotal part in Pep Guardiola’s system at Manchester City. He is one of the first names on the team sheet and has been reliable in the league. He finished fourth in scoring with 20 goals.

#8 – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST, Arsenal)

Over the past few seasons, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been one of the few bright spots on an underperforming Arsenal. He shows consistency and precision in all facets of his game. He finished joint second in the league in scoring with 22 goals.

#7 – Jamie Vardy (ST, Leicester City)

Vardy has been a prolific striker in the Premier League ever since he burst onto the scene a few years ago. He isn’t slowing down as he has scored 23 goals and won the Premier League Golden Boot for the first time in his career.

#6 – Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB, Liverpool)

One of the youngest on this list and yet one of the most talented is Trent Alexander-Arnold. He has proven to be one of the best right backs in the world at just 21 years of age. His deliveries into the box are clinical as he finished second in assists in the league with 13.

#5 – Mohammed Salah (RW, Liverpool)

This past season, Salah was the only player to finish in the top ten in goals (19) and assists (10). He has already won PFA Player of the Year, proving his capabilities. He is one of the driving forces on the Liverpool front line.

#4 – Sergio Agüero (ST, Manchester City)

Year in and year out, Agüero is one of the top strikers in the Premier League. This past season, he managed just 16 goals, but that was through 24 appearances. Even through injury, he manages to put up a decent goal tally.

#3 – Sadio Mané (LW, Liverpool)

Sadio Mané offers an injection of pace and skill into the already-dominant Liverpool side. He has been trending on par and even surpassing the skills of his teammate, Salah. With 18 goals and seven assists, Mané creates plenty of scoring opportunities himself.

#2 – Virgil van Dijk (CB, Liverpool)

As the reigning PFA Player of the Season, Virgil van Dijk makes his mark yet again. He led the defensive efforts for one of the best teams in Premier League history. His talent has drawn comparisons to legends like Nemanja Vidic. Even for a center back he can find the back of the net with five goals.

#1 – Kevin De Bruyne (CAM, Manchester City)

It comes as no surprise to see Kevin De Bruyne on top of this list. His talent levels are one of a kind, especially his ability to use both feet. He led the league by far in assists with 20 and he is no stranger to goals as he has scored 13. His offensive capabilities and awareness to keep possession at crucial times makes him a threat for any opposing side and elevates him to the top of this list.
