3. Justin Gaethje

The Lightweight has made multiple attempts to fight McGregor. Considering Cerrone lost to both Gaethje and McGregor recently, perhaps seeing these two in the octagon could draw some attention.

The arrival of Gaethje first came with an undefeated streak that was eventually broken by Eddie Alvarez. Many expected Gaethje to be next in line for the return of McGregor, but this could now be a fight that takes place at various weight classes. With a social media feud at hand, this would be a treat for the fans.

2. Khabib Nurmagomedov

A heated rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor is something that many are on edge about. However, if given the opportunity, it’s a fight McGregor would love to take part in.

According to Nurmagomedov, McGregor would need to string together 10 wins in order to receive a rematch. As a result, UFC President Dana White stated if Tony Ferguson were to pull out of UFC 249 against Nurmagomedov, McGregor would fill the vacancy. The idea of a rematch is interesting, but there is a desire for McGregor to remain in the Welterweight division for the time being.

1: Jorge Masvidal

The fight that fans collectively want to see is between BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor. As of late, both fighters have been eyeing this fight for the revenue it could pull in. Based on the timeline, International Week for the UFC would be the perfect time to build this bout.

With Masvidal in line to fight Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight belt, this could be a bout that takes place shortly afterwards. As long as both fighters can remain active, it could turn out to be one of the top cards this year.
