Saturday night against the Colorado Rockies, right handed pitcher Tim Lincecum, from the San Francisco Giants, received an injury from a line drive from D.J. LeMahieu into his pitching elbow that caused him to leave the game. After being hit, pitcher Yusemeiro Petit took over in the second inning, as the Giants went on to win the game 7-5.

It is said that he has been diagnosed with a right forearm contusion. The fact that he did not want to try a warm up pitch before officially leaving shows just how bad this could end up being. The Giants are now considering putting him on the disabled list due to his level of pain.

He already has an ERA of 6.62 that I’m sure he will want to improve, but he has his priorities straight with getting his health in check. We will soon see how this will play out in the upcoming days.
