Three More NBA Studs Set Extensions 

With day one of the NBA free agency underway, multiple franchise stars have been able to sign extensions with their teams. Here is three more players that decided to stay right at home: 

Lillard chose to stay in Portland, with an extension worth five years, and over $120 million, according to league sources. The all-star guard will have that contract kick in at the start of the 2016-17 season. 

Lillard signed a maximum deal with the Blazers, and it was a great signing for the team. Lillard is the centerpiece of the organization now that it seems “highly unlikely” that LaMarcus Aldridge will be back. Can the Blazers continue to spend money after what they spent on their star? Time will tell. 

Dunleavy, 34, has decided to return to the Bulls with a deal worth three years, and $14.4 million dollars. Dunleavy’s deal includes a partial guarantee in the third year, sources said.

As Chicago works on signing Jimmy Butler back to the team, it’s nice to know that at least Dunleavy will be a part of the roster. Averaging 9.4 ppg and 3.9 rpg in 63 games last season, Dunleavy can be a game changer. This was a decent move by the Bulls, but they have Jimmy Butler to worry about nowadays. 

The Spurs already signed Kawhi Leonard to an extension on Wednesday, so it seems that signing Danny Green wasn’t the biggest move the Spurs made. Green’s deal is worth four years, racking in $45 million dollars. 

The six-year veteran has been able to produce when put up to do so, making himself one of the better players in the NBA today. With the Spurs signing a lot of their key pieces, the only question is how much money do they really have to sign other potential free agents?
