After UFC’s first event in Beijing on Saturday night, Francis Ngannou defeated Curtis Blaydes in their rematch for the second time by knockout. In result, the question becomes who he will face next in his quest for redemption for the UFC Heavyweight championship.
Ngannou, prior to his two losses to Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis, was once known as the man that couldn’t be matched. Fans seemingly lost hope for Ngannou, who went into UFC’s Beijing event with a chip on his shoulder.
In the post fight show, Ngannou called out former champion Junior Dos Santos, who he’s wanted to fight for quite some time. He also touched on the possibility of a redemption fight with Miocic, who gave Ngannou his first loss back at UFC 220 on January 20th. If both fights were scheduled and Ngannou defeated both men, it would prove himself worthy to fight for heavyweight gold once again.
Ngannou can be a big part for the heavyweight division with his performances that result in jaw dropping knockouts, as his future is bright. Next year could be the year of Ngannou, where he may take a second chance at gold and secure the Heavyweight Championship.
