The Historic Rebounding Pace of Oscar Tshiebwe

On January 1st of 2021, the University of Kentucky got a transfer from West Virginia in center Oscar Tshiebwe. To this point, he is putting up historical numbers for the Wildcats.
Tshiebwe has broken numerous rebounding records this year, including a Rupp Arena record 28 boards against Western Kentucky early last week. Over the past two games, he has 48 grabbed rebounds; the most by a Division I player in 26 years. Tshiebwe totaled 20 rebounds against Missouri for the fourth time this season, a feat that nobody in college basketball has accomplished more than once this season.
This season, Tshiebwe is averaging 16 boards a game; the last time anyone in the SEC put up more than 15 in a season was during the1969 campaign. Tshiebwe is set to put up historical numbers through the second half of the season.
