After months of failing efforts between the Houston Texans and Jadeveon Clowney regrading a new contract, the Texans opted to trade the linebacker. On Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks agreed in theory to acquire Clowney from the Houston Texans. The Team will getting a 3rd round pick, Barkevious Mingo, and Jacob Martin in return for Clowney.
In 15 games last season, Clowney recorded 47 tackles, 9 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and recovered 3 fumbles.
According to the latest reports, the Seahawks may wait on extending the contract of Clowney. The front office is interested in whether he will mold into their defensive scheme.
