Once in a while, a miracle takes place in sports where the underdogs complete the unbelievable by overcoming the highest of barriers. Recently, the Tennessee Titans have made an unpredictable playoff run with road wins over the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. With an AFC Championship matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on the horizon, the Titans have another chance to shock the world.
Ryan Tannehill has been a large factor in the success of the Titans. After a 2-4 to start the regular season under Marcus Mariota, the team switched to Tannehill in hopes of a new spark of energy. In his first start of the 2019-20 season, Tannehill totaled 312 yards, 2 TD, and an INT. Tennessee won the game, and eventually finished the season with a 9-7 record.
In the Wild Card game against the Patriots, it was Derrick Henry playing the role as hero. This year alone, Henry has scored 16 touchdowns. In fact, there has only been five games in which Henry has not scored.
The Titans struggled early in the season, but have slowly become a powerhouse threat in the AFC. With a win this weekend, the Titans will see their first Super Bowl appearance since 1999.
