Sidney Crosby Returns Tonight

According to several sources, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is returning tonight after missing 28 games with a core injury. Since Crosby’s injury on November 9th against Chicago, the Penguins have performed like no one’s business, winning 18 out of the possible 28 games and sitting in 2nd place; only behind Washington in the Metropolitan division.

Several questions now linger before his return tonight, and the first one is who will be Sid’s linemates? If the morning skate had any merit to it, they will be Simon and McCann. Simon and Crosby love to play together, so he is a given to be Sid’s winger; the only question is who the other will be, some speculate Kahun.

To every Penguin fan out there, I wouldn’t expect Crosby to become the world-beater he so typically is right away. Having some rust is only natural after missing significant time and not much ice time during the recovery. I will say, however, if there is anyone to prove me wrong, it is Sidney Crosby.
