Shelton Benjamin not returning to WWE due to Injury

Shelton Benjamin was set to return to the WWE soon, but according to reports, that  will not be happening. Benjamin took to Twitter to announce that he will not be returning due to an injury:

This is a huge blow to the WWE and Benjamin, who was set to return to the SmackDown brand. SmackDown is already thin of stars as it is, so this hurts even more. For Benjamin, he was looking forward to returning to WWE, where it all started for him. Now, he needs to rehab his injury and prolong his return.

Benjamin debuted in WWE in 2003 on SmackDown. He remained with the company for seven years. During his time with WWE, he won the United States title once, the Intercontinental title three times, and the WWE Tag Team titles once with Charlie Haas as part of Team Angle.
