Seattle vs. Detroit Monday Night Preview
This will be the first return to Seattle for Golden Tate, after being traded to the Detroit Lions after the 2013 season.
Seattle has thrived in prime time games under coach Pete Carroll with an astounding 13-1 record. The Seahawks have been so dominant that the NFL has become weary of putting prime time games in Seattle due to their track record of uncompetitive blowouts.
The last 4 prime time games hosted in Seattle have consisted of Seattle out scoring their opponents 141-36. The Seahawks and lions have met 12 times in total (Seattle winning 7 of those games, with 5 of those wins being at home).
Golden Tate should have a few difficulties coming into Seattle and playing against the noise for a change, along with possibly receiving mixed welcomes when taking the field Monday night.
This will be a very interesting match up to watch. Seattle may have to adjust the run game with Marshawn Lynch having two leg injuries (calf and hamstring) in back to back weeks.
From what we saw Sunday vs the Bears, back up running Thomas Rawls had Seattle rolling down the field while replacing Lynch.
Seattle has struggled against the pass this season with the acception of week 3 vs the Bears. Seattles key to winning this game is to put pressure on Matthew Stafford.
For the Lions to sneak out with a victory, Matthew Stafford will have to be accurate to over come his 6th highest interception percentage.
