Sam Bradford Heading To Vikings

After hearing that quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be out for the season, the Minnesota Vikings have been looking to acquire a starting quarterback.
Well, it looks like the team found one as the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2017 1st round pick and a 2018 4th round pick.
Last season in 14 games, Bradford threw for 3,725 yards, 19 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, with a passer rating of 86.4.
Going into last season, people were expecting the team to compete for the NFC East with him at quarterback. Everyone who thought that was wrong, as the team had an underwhelming season, finishing third in the NFC East and firing head coach Chip Kelly.
Even though Bradford has been injury prone his entire career, when he is healthy and not injured, he is a solid quarterback.
He has an accurate arm, average throwing power, and can scramble out of the pocket when he needs to.
The problem with him is that he has not played a full 16-game season since 2012 with the Rams. As long as Bradford can stay healthy, he has the potential to throw for over 20 touchdowns.
With Bradford now out of town, the Eagles are now left with Chase Daniel, Carson Wentz, and McLeod-Bethel Thompson at quarterback. The team was already projected to have a really bad season, but with this trade, it is becoming more obvious that the team will finish last in the NFC East and will not win more than five games.
The Eagles got a good deal back for him, and it’s surprising that they got a first round pick since Bradford is no way worth a first round pick with the way he has been playing.
The first round pick is going to be helpful (as well as the fourth round pick) since the team is rebuilding. Wentz should be ther starter for week one, but since he is injured and is inexperienced, Daniel will most likely get the start.
The Vikings were really desperate to grab a quarterback due to Bridgewater being out for the season. With the season a few days away, time was running out to get one, so the team had to do whatever it takes to get one.
The team did overpay for Bradford, but he will be a suitable replacement for Bridgewater. Adrian Peterson now is the vocal point of the offense, so as long as Bradford hands it off to Peterson, drives down the field, and stays healthy, he will do just fine as the starter.
The winner of this trade is the Philadelphia Eagles. Bradford had no future with the team after this season, so the team got the best value that they can get for him. Getting a first and a fourth for an injury prone quarterback is a good job by Howie Roseman and the rebuilding plan. The Vikings will have the better season, but at the end of the day, giving what the team did for Bradford is not smart.
