After taking over for Marcus Mariota during the 2019-20 regular season, Ryan Tannehill led the Tennessee Titans to a Cinderella-type season. The AFC Wild Card team eventually found themselves in the AFC Championship after defeating the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.
On Sunday, it was reported that Tennessee and Tannehill are closing to agreeing upon a multi-year extension.
The contract will pay Tannahill $118 Million over the next four years with $62 Million guaranteed.
Before signing with Tennessee, Tannehill spent six seasons with the Miami Dolphins as the starting quarterback. With the extension, Tennessee will place their focus on other important contracts regarding running back Derrick Henry and offensive tackle Jack Conklin.
