Rob Gronkowski’s brother, Glenn, to enter NFL Draft

The NFL has one crazy Gronk on it’s hands, but it will soon get another. Kansas State Wildcats fullback Glenn Gronkowski, Rob’s younger brother, will declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.

Glenn is in his junior season, meaning he will forego his final year of eligibility to enter the Draft. In his freshman year, he racked up one carry for no gain and five receptions for 194 yards and three touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he had four carries for six yards, five receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown. In his junior season, he had 11 carries for 45 yards, five catches for 76 yards, one pass completion for four yards, and two touchdowns.

“I think it’s the right time,” Gronkowski told Sports Illustrated after the Wildcats’ 45-23 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Saturday. “Time to move on.”

“Goose”, as he’s called, will be one of the top rated fullbacks in the draft. This, however, will only translate into a late round pick. I could see him being selected in the sixth round. Teams that could be scouting him are the Carolina Panthers, who are possibly losing Mike Tolbert in free agency, the Green Bay Packers, who are possibly losing veteran John Kuhn in free agency, and the St. Louis Rams, who are possibly losing Cory Harkey in free agency. Those are just a few teams that could look at Glenn Gronkowski as their new fullback.
