As the current NBA season remains on hold, the infamous Ball family has continued to make headlines. This week, reports have come out that indicate that LaMelo Ball would prefer to play with the New York Knicks, and his camp will attempt to steer him in that direction.
LaMelo, the younger brother of New Orleans Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball, is ranked #2 among top NBA prospects, according to ESPN.
On multiple occasions, Lavar Ball, the father of LaMelo, has stated that New York would be the best fit for his youngest son.
To date, the Knicks sit with a regular season record of 21-45; the sixth-worst record in the NBA. If the season ended today, New York would have a 9% chance at the top pick, and a 37.2% chance of selecting within the top four.
With outstanding draft capital from the recent trades of Kristaps Porzingis and Marcus Morris, could the Knicks be primed to move up in the upcoming NBA Draft in order to select their point guard of the future?
