Since last season, Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys have been at the negotiation table discussing a new contract for the quarterback. Although no deal has been reached, Prescott will reportedly be back with the team at least for this season. On Monday, the Dallas Cowboys reportedly used the exclusive franchise tag on Prescott, which is worth $31.6M during the 2020 season.
Despite not leading the Dallas Cowboys to the playoffs last season, Prescott is still a quality quarterback in the league. He finished in the top 15 in passing yards in two out of his first four seasons, and has thrown for more than 20 touchdowns and less than 15 interceptions in each season as a starter.
