As reported, the Philadelphia 76ers are expected to name Tyronn Lue as their next head coach. The team has been in search of a replacement of Brett Brown, who they departed from last month.
Most recently, Lue served as an assistant to the Los Angeles Clippers. Prior to that, he is most well-known for his NBA Championship run with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a head coach during the 2015-16 season.
During his just over three-year tenure in Cleveland, Lue compiled a coaching record of 128-83; a 60.7% regular season winning percentage. In each full season, Lue has guided his respective roster to the NBA Finals.
Despite the larger personalities on the 76ers roster, this will not be a new sight for Lue. He has coached the likes of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and others in the past en route to a successful reign as a head coach in the NBA.
