On Monday, Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans officially announced his retirement after a fifteen year career in the UFC.
After defeating greats such as Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, Tito Ortiz, Quinton Jackson, Forrest Griffin, and Chuck Liddell, Rashad Evans is also well known for his feud with former friend Jon Jones. The two later on fought at UFC 145, and although Evans lost by unanimous decision, he is a pioneer of underdogs stepping up to the challenge.
At the age of 38, Evans has accomplished the goals he set for himself, knocked out and defeated legends, and won a championship along the way. With the accolades engraved with his legacy, Rashad Evans is truly a future UFC Hall of Famer.
