Predictions By Division: NFC East

Washington Redskins :

The Redskins were divison winners in the 2015-16, only to be eliminated in the wildcard round at the hands of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Redskins had become what they had aspired to be over the last few years, a division winning team. With additions of Josh Norman and a breakout QB  in Kirk Cousins willing to prove his money’s worth, the Redskins are a force to be reckoned with in the NFC. I have the Redskins going 12-4 this year if all goes well. A sleeper for super bowl 51.

Dallas Cowboys :

It’s the same thing every year for the Dallas Cowboys, if healthy, they are a division winning team. The thing is though, they haven’t been healthy in two years. Tony Romo last season broke his collarbone twice which pushed the Cowboys to a 4-12 record. Dez Bryant having an aggressive foot injury also helped Dallas to that record. In the offseason, they signed Alfred Morris and chased Johnny Manziel before getting a law suit put against him. The Dallas coaching staff got themselves a raw talent at halfback during the draft when drafting the controversial Ezekiel Elliott. This year, if everybody stays healthy and play to their full capability, the Cowboys will go 11-5. On the other hand, if Romo gets hurt again, the Cowboys go the opposite to 5-11. Things need to be done for this team to get back to it’s winning days of the 90’s and 70’s. All Cowboys fans are itching for a Super Bowl run and this could be the year if all goes well, but history of injuries could spoil it.

New York  Giants :

The New York Giants were no eye openers last season, going a measly 6-10 and finishing third in their division. In the offseason, they lost Rueben Randle and 2x Super Bowl winning coach Tom Coughlin. In the draft, they brought in a stud CB in Eli Apple, who plans to bring what Prince Amukamara couldn’t. Their offense is more of the same as last year with superstar WR Odell Beckham Jr and 2x Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning.  They are expected to be a mediocre team, but definitely are a sleeper. I see them going 8-8, but with training camp, they could bring improvment and eye opening talent.

Philadelphia Eagles :

The Eagles were a dissapointing group last year, finishing 7-9 and not qualifying for playoffs. Many people put blame on Chip Kelly for single handingly destroying the Eagles roster and not having many stars at all. They traded LeSean McCoy for an injury prone MLB and didn’t draft any superstar possibility picks in the draft last year, it seemed that the Eagles were now becoming the NFLs black hole so they brought in former Cheifs Offensive Coordinator Doug Pederson to be the head coach. With this hiring, the Eagles hope to bring back a similar play style that Andy Reid had before leaving in 2012. Their QB situation is very scary as Sam Bradford has been complaining all offseason and even more so after the draft when the Eagles traded up to #2 (from Cleveland) to get North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz, who now gives competition for the 2x Torn ACL quarterback. The Eagles are now in a rebuilding process that could take awhile to finish. I have the Eagles going 6-10 because there isn’t much that can be done about this team that the GM doesn’t want to risk. This rebuilding process could very well take alot of time.
