Porzingis Moves up in Draft Stock
The 2015 NBA Draft’s mystery man, Kristaps Porzingis, could potentially go as early as 2nd overall to the Los Angeles Lakers as reported early Saturday morning by multiple league sources. One scout was even caught calling Porzingis “the best player in the draft”.
Porzingis has clearly impressed so far in workouts, but how has this underdog now possibly risen above Duke’s star center Jahlil Okafor and Ohio State’s standout guard D’Angelo Russell? Porzingis is one of the best all around talents in this years draft. He can play down low on the block, face the basket as well as shoot or attack, rebound, play solid defense, has good feel for the game has very fluid movements as he stands 7’1, exceptional athleticism and is only 19 years old. That’s a lot of upside.
We will be following the developing story of Porzingis’s rise in the draft as June 25th comes closer. Don’t be surprised if on draft day, you hear Adam Silver call this kids name with the 2nd or 3rd pick overall in the 2015 NBA draft. He’s that good.
