Peyton Manning Benched in Loss to Chiefs
Halfway through the 3rd Quarter, Peyton Manning was benched for Brock Osweiler. Manning went 5/20, with 35 yards and 4 INTs. Ironically, he passed Brett Farve and became the NFL’s all time leader in passing yards.
The Chiefs just dominated. KC had five interceptions and five sacks on defense. On offense, 303 yards, two touchdowns, and five field goals.
Kansas City had the ball for 33:27. That’s not to say Denver didn’t posses the ball, as they had it for around 26 minutes, but it shows that Kansas City made the most of their offensive chances. It also shows that they shut down Denver’s offense.
Osweiler went 14/24 for 126 yards, a TD, and an INT. If this was a close game, I doubt he goes in. However, with the score 22-0, Manning playing hurt, and Denver not playing well on both sides of the ball, Brock goes in. Denver, now 7-2, will play the 4-5 Chicago Bears in Week 11.
