Pat Freiermuth Returning for Junior Season

After Penn State’s victory over Rutgers on Saturday, many were questioning whether star TE Pat Freiermuth would return for next season. Moments after the game, he proceeded to state on Twitter that he will be returning.

Freiermuth was a shocking snub of this year’s Mackey award list, as he has totaled 468 yards and 7 TD. One would think he is returning next year not only to improve his draft stock, but to snag the Mackey award.

Freiermuth is tied for 9th all-time on receiving touchdowns with 15. When his career as a Nittany Lion is finished, he may go down as the most exceptional tight end to wear the blue and white.
