After helping the Toronto Raptors win the NBA Championship for the first time in franchise history last season, Pascal Siakam is about to get rewarded for his hard work. On Saturday, the team and Siakam agreed on a 4-year contract extension worth $130 M. Siakam was in the last year of his rookie contract.

In 80 games, Siakam averaged 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Alongside Kawhi Leonard, Siakam was a huge part of the success of Toronto last season.

With Leonard now apart of the Los Angeles Clippers, Siakam is now the leader of the team. For the next several years, he will be paid like a superstar. Even though he is a promising player, his one breakout season is a small sample size.
