Parsons Wins Big Ten Linebacker of The Year

On Tuesday, Micah Parsons was named as the Big 10 Linebacker of the Year. Parsons is the first true sophomore to win this award. He becomes the third Penn State player to earn such honor with Micheal Mauti (2012) and Mike Hull (2014.) Earlier this week, Parsons earned another recognition with being named PFF First-Team All-American.

This season, Parsons tallied up 95 total tackles, which led Penn State for the second consecutive season. He also added 45 solo tackles and 3 sacks to go with his great season. In five of his last six games, Parsons had double-digit tackles; including a 14 tackle performance in the “white out” game against Michigan.
