Following Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers have moved on from head coach Mike McCarthy. In result, the front office has named Joe Philbin as the interim head coach.

McCarthy has spent 13 seasons with the Packers, including a Super Bowl run in 2010. His head coaching record during the regular season stands at 125-77-2. Despite his release, there will be plenty of suitors seeking a coaching replacement in the summer of 2019.

Coming into Week 13, the Packers ranked in the bottom-half of the league in terms of points per game, as well as rushing yards allowed per game.

This was a move that was bound to happen, but the future of the Green Bay Packers will be a headline to watch.
