We all know that college football and the NFL are two very different worlds, but Lamar Jackson has dominated these first few games for Louisville.

The young quarterback has lead the Cardinals to a 3-0 start, with wins over Charlotte, Syrcause, and most recently, #2 ranked Florida State. With the big win, Jackson has gained a lot of praise from even NFL quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick took to Twitter after the team’s victory on Saturday, stating “Lamar Jackson 5x better than what I was at V-Tech….Enough said! #future”.

Vick is obviously known as a terrific NFL quarterback from his days with the Atlanta Falcons, but he is also without a doubt one of the more exciting NCAAF quarterbacks to ever play.

In two years at Virginia Tech, Vick finished with a 150.6 QBR, as well as accounting 3,299 passing yards via air. On the ground, he was able to produce 1,299 rushing yards and 17 TDs.

This should be a great honor to Lamar Jackson, even if it is early in the season. In his game against Florida State, he was able to go 13-20 with 216 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

While his stats there may not be lights out, how about the fact that he finished with 17 carries, 146 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns?

This isn’t a one-time event either, considering the fact that Jackson has now combined for 18 touchdowns in three games (combined rushing and passing).

While no one is saying he will be greater than Vick was at the NFL level from his days with the Falcons, Jackson should be considered the clear-cut favorite to win the Heisman this year.

I think a lot of NFL teams will be peaking interest in Jackson, and it’ll be exciting to see what he can produce at the next level.
