NFL Rookies of the Week: Week 6

Advertisements

It was a slow week for a lot of the top rookies, but we can’t expect them to have monster games every week. This was the first week that teams had their bye weeks and some top rookies didn’t even hit the field of play. Here are some honorable mentions from Week 6:

Honorable Mentions: Los Angeles Rams CB Robert Rochell (5 tackles, 1 INT), Las Vegas Raiders S Trevon Moehrig-Woodard (3 tackles, 1 INT), Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (112 total yards, 1 TD)

3. WR Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

Waddle is proving to be a volume receiver for the Dolphins with some top receiver tendencies. In Tua Tagoviloa’s return, Waddle caught 10 passes for 70 yards and hauled in two touchdowns. The Dolphins ended up losing in London to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Waddle sure put on a show.

2. RB Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers

This marks the second consecutive week Harris lands in the top three rookie honors after another stellar performance out of the Steelers backfield. Harris logged 127 total yards, along with one receiving touchdown in Pittsburgh’s win. Even though the stat sheet doesn’t show Harris among the top rushers, he is passing the eye test in becoming a top primary back in the league.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence

For the first time this season, Trevor Lawrence records his first rookie honor and NFL win. Lawrence logged 319 pass yards to go with one touchdown in the winning effort over the Dolphins in London. Hopefully we see a turnaround from Lawrence, who currently has more interceptions than touchdown passes.
