With the free agency period over, the NBA draft complete. With all of the Summer League games now completed, it is time to start talking about the upcoming NBA season. The 2015-16 season could prove to be one of the most exciting in years.

First of all, the West now has to worry about the Spurs even more. With the additions of Lamarcus Aldridge, David West, Ray McCallum, and Jimmer Fredette, San Antonio is ready to go back to the Finals to compete for the title. However, in order to add these players to their team, San Antonio had to lose some notable players, such as Thiago Splitter, who grew as a player learning from one of the best big men to ever play in the NBA, Tim Duncan.

Splitter was a key piece for the Spurs as he blocked shots and pulled down rebounds for a team that relied on Duncan to do all of that.

Another loss was Marco Belinelli, who has proved that he is a sharp shooter, winning the 2014 Foot Locker Three Point Contest. Belinelli acted as a nice backup to the SG and SF positions, knocking down threes alongside another sharp shooting duo of Danny Green and Manu Ginobili.

The Spurs were able to retain Kawhi Leonard, who many say will be the future of the Spurs after winning the 2014 NBA Finals MVP award, signing him to a 4-year, $94-million deal. Danny Green also signed a 4-year deal, while Duncan and Ginobili both signed 2-year deals. With some key additions, the Spurs may again be the best team in the NBA.
