With the NBA resuming on July 30th and the schedule released, let’s look at matchups we are looking forward to:

July 30th: Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers

This could be a potential Western Conference Finals matchup between the two hottest teams in the West. The Lakers are 1-2 against their in-town rival. It would be interesting to see how both team’s stars perform after the hiatus. A healthy Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James go at it once again, and it just has fans waiting to see if this is the year the Lakers can be NBA Champions once again.

July 31st: Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics

The Celtics are certainly a different team than last year. They faced the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in 2019, but lost 4-1 in the series. This game could be a preview of this year’s Eastern Conference Finals. The series for this season is tied 1-1, with Anteokounmpo looking to secure his second consecutive MVP award. For Jayson Tatum, he looks to make a name for himself as an elite talent. This matchup has a lot in store with talent surrounding both teams.

August 3rd: Memphis Grizzlies vs New Orleans Pelicans

The top two players in this year’s NBA Draft were Zion Williamson and Ja Morant. The Pelicans have a 2-0 advantage on the season against the Grizzlies, but seeing both rookies battle it out will live up to the hype. There is a lot more on the table for this game too, as this game could play a role in the Rookie of the Year race. Since the Pelicans are 3.5 games outside of the 8th seed, this game could have a stake in the upcoming playoffs.
