With the NBA season only a few weeks old, teams have already seen the ebbs and flows that are part and parcel of the league. Even with this only being November, every win and loss at this point of the season is just as important as in late April.
The Los Angeles Lakers claim the top spot even with Rajon Rondo and Kyle Kuzma sidelined with injuries. Early injuries have also hampered the Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trailblazers, as all three teams have struggled out of the gate.
Some teams, such as the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns, have been able to stay above the frey even though they have suffered injuries to key players as well, and the Boston Celtics will look to do the same with Gordon Hayward out indefinitely with a broken hand.
Are the Lakers the league’s best team? Will the Clippers overtake Los Angeles with the return of a Paul George? Can the Pistons get back on track when Blake Griffin returns? The shuffle has begun, and teams will rise and fall throughout the season. Here are your 2019 NBA Power Rankings.
