This week for the Washington Nationals has been a big one.  Bryce Harper has had 2 straight massive games with 3 HR and 5 RBI against the Marlins in a 7-5 Nationals win on Wednesday and then again on Thursday. Harper hit 2 HR with another 5 RBI against the Braves on Friday night. After Fridays game, Harper is sitting with 10 HR and 25 RBI so far this year with a .284 Batting average . During his start on Tuesday, Strasburg was feeling discomfort in his shoulder blade which caused his start to only be 3 innings and 64 pitches while giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and 2 walked batters and hit a batter with a pitch. Strasburg saw a chiropractor on Friday and says that it really helped the discomfort and I expect him to stay on schedule with his next scheduled start.  Someone who is not on schedule is 3B Anthony Rendon, suffering an oblique strain while on a rehab assignment trying to rehab from an off-season left knee surgery and there is no timetable set for his return.

The Nationals are now at .500 for the season with a record of 15-15 and are 3.5 games behind the NL East leading the New York Mets and have a team ERA of 3.37, lead by Sammy Solis who still has not allowed a run, coming out of the bullpen twice for a total of 5 IP. The Nationals have won 2 games in a row and have won 3 series in a row now.The Nats and Braves have 2 games left in their current series at Nationals Park then head on the road to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, as well as the San Diego Padres before returning home to the district to take on the New York Yankees.
