MLB:Adrian Beltre joins a exclusive club

36 year old Adrian Beltre was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He made his major league debut in 1998 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has played for 4 Major League teams,The LA Dodgers,Seattle Mariners, The Boston Red Sox, and is currently playing for the Texas Rangers. He’s had a solid 17 year career so far,one that can possibly land him in Cooperstown after it’s all set and done.
On Friday night Adrian became the 52nd player ever to reach 400 HR’s with his first inning blast against Cleveland Pitcher, Bruce Chen. He’s built a great resume which is sparking and some debate on if his numbers are Hall of Fame worthy. At age 36 he still plays at a high level and defensively still one of best to man the Hot Corner. This year he hasn’t been off to the start we are accustomed to,but Beltre can get hot in a hurry and put up MVP numbers.
His Career totals are…
.284 Batting Avg
2,641 Career Hits
400 Home Runs
1.386 Runs Batted in
Now the debate will ensue,is Beltre’s numbers Hall of Fame worthy? In a era where steroids has dominated and have tainted a lot of players numbers,Beltre has stayed out of controversy and is still producing for the Rangers. My guess is he wont be a first ballot Hall of Famer because rarely anybody is,but he eventually will with enough times on the ballot we are looking at a future member of the Hall of Fame.
