AL Rookie of the Year: Carlos Rodon, P Chicago White Sox

In 34.2 innings, Rodon has 35 strikeouts, 1.64 WHIP and a 3.12 ERA. If these numbers are similar at the end of the season, look for Rodon to win this award.

Honorable Mention: Daniel Norris, P Toronto Blue Jays 

NL Rookie of the Year: Kris Bryant, 3B Chicago Cubs

7 homeruns and 34 RBI’s in only 47 games. These numbers should improve as he gets more acclimated to MLB pitchers. Bryant also lead all hitters in homeruns through spring training, which is a strong indication of where he stands amongst others in the league.

Honorable Mention: Joc Pederson, OF Los Angeles Dodgers

AL Comeback Player of the Year: Alex Rodriguez, DH New York Yankees

After sitting out last year due to suspension, A-Rod is putting together a decent season. 11 homeruns with 28 RBIs, with an impressive .907 OPS.

Honorable Mention: Chris Davis, 1B Baltimore Orioles

NL Comeback Player of the Year: Matt Harvey, P New York Mets

After healing from Tommy John Surgery all of last year, Matt Harvey has been dominating so far this season. His 6-3 record is decieving due to the Mets lack of strength at the plate. He boasts a 3.05 ERA with 80 Ks and a 0.98 WHIP so far this season.

Honorable Mention: Joey Votto, 1B Cinncinati Reds

AL Manager of the Year: A.J. Hinch, Houston Astros

Taking a mediocre team and making them serious World Series contenders warrants anyone a mention for this award. Hinch has turned the table for the Astros, who are one of the hottest teams in baseball right now and lead the American League with a 34-25 record.

Honorable Mention: Lloyd McClendon, Seattle Mariners

NL Manager of the Year: Mike Matheny, St. Louis Cardinals

Matheny has lead the Cardinals to an MLB leading 38-20 record, which indicates where he stands amongst the leagues elite managers.

Honorable Mention: Terry Collins, New York Mets

AL Cy Young: Dallas Keuchel, P Houston Astros

A 7-1 record, 1.85 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP leads Keuchel to this award. He could use a few more strikeouts, but the ERA and WHIP are astronomical.

Honorable Mention: Felix Hernandez, P Seattle Mariners

NL Cy Young: Clayton Kershaw, P Los Angeles Dodgers

While Kershaw only has a 5-3 record, he contains 101 strikeouts in 80.1 innings. He fans 1.3 batters per inning, which is a ton. Kershaw also has a 1.06 WHIP and 3.36 ERA, which aren’t bad numbers to say the least. 

Honorable Mention: Max Scherzer, P Washington Nationals

AL MVP: Josh Donaldson, 3B Toronto Blue Jays

An unlikely winner for this award gets the nod from us. He has a .310 batting average, to go along with 16 homeruns, 33 RBIs and an insane .949 OPS.

Honorable Mention: Mike Trout, OF Los Angeles Angels

NL MVP: Bryce Harper, OF Washington Nationals

Harper has 19 homeruns, 46 RBIs and a league high 1.170 OPS to his name. Harper is also a solid defender. He is most certainly the NL MVP.

Honorable Mention: Paul Goldschimdt, 1B Arizona Diamondbacks
