The Minnesota Wild have recalled defenceman Mike Reilly from AHL Iowa, the team announced on Twitter. Reilly signed with Minnesota on July 1st, 2015 as a college free agent.

Reilly, 22, recorded seven points in 29 games with Minnesota this season and 23 points in 45 games with Iowa. He made his NHL debut on January 9th.

Reilly is a great puck moving defenceman and has a great shot. He needs to make some improvements on the defencive side of things, but he should be a great defenceman moving forward. He was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets but decided not to sign with them.

The Wild host the Dallas Stars in Game Three of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. No word on if Reilly will play in the game.
