Matic Signs for Manchester United

It is the headline that a lot of Manchester United fans want to see, and a headline Chelsea FC fans probably aren’t too fond of. Nemanja Matic has signed for the Red Devils for a fee that seems to be around the $47million USD mark. This isn’t surprising to those who have been paying close attention to the transfer news over the last few days, as it was reported that Matic was taking a physical to confirm the deal.

It is now official that Matic will be linking up with his former boss in Jose Mourinho at the Red Devils this year, with the three-year deal set to keep the centre-back there until 2020. The Serbian international will be wearing number 31 for the Red Devils, and will be a staple in the central midfield area that was somewhat rocky for a lot of last season. With Ander Herrera as his partner and Paul Pogba in front of the midfielders, you would have to imagine that it will be awfully hard to dominate United in that crucial battle over the course of this season.
