Marshawn Lynch has officially been ruled out for the Monday night game vs the Detroit Lions. Lynch has been dealing with a hamstring injury he sustained early in the Week 3 game vs the Chicago Bears. Struggling early this season, Lynch currently has 38 attempts for 128 yards. QB Russell Wilson is the Seahawks lead rusher with 24 attempts and 137 yards at the moment. Lynch is still looking to cross the goal line for the first time this season but it looks like he will have to wait at least one more week to make it happen. Hamstring injuries have the the bad reputation of having the highest re injury rate of any injury if the players do not allow them to heal 100%.

The Seahawks have only been without Lynch one game since traded from the Buffalo Bills in 2010. That game was Week 7 in 2011 at the Cleveland browns which Seattle lost 6-3. We will get to see the rookie Thomas Rawls get the start and he will get his shot to show everyone what he’s got.

Starting in his place will be Thomas Rawls, as well as veteran tailback Fred Jackson. Rawls finished last week with over 100 yards after Lynch exited that game early against the Bears.  Out touching Jackson 16 to 4 last week, look for Wilson to dump the ball off more than a few times to Rawls. As for Jackson, you should expect to seem it when it comes to the goal line situations as always
