Welcome to ‘Lock of the Day’, where I’ll be representing The Athletes Hub with the latest trends in sports betting. Be sure to check in daily for which bets are considered locks:

January 10th: Kyrie Irving OVER 19.5 Points vs Portland Trail Blazers

In his return to the Brooklyn Nets last Wednesday, Kyrie Irving posted 22 points across 32 minutes played against the Indiana Pacers. He shot 9-of-17 from the field and didn’t look like he missed a beat. In two matchups against Portland last season, Irving averaged 31.5 points per game. The Trail Blazers are missing both Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum and are in the second game of a back-to-back series. The money line for Brooklyn is currently set at -450, but adding it into this prop could make for a nice payday.

January 10th: Miles Bridges OVER 17.5 Points vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks recently faced off on Saturday in which Bridges totaled 21 points across 35 minutes played. While the figure doesn’t give much comfort, Bridges has hit the 17.5 mark in each of his last four matchups against the Bucks dating back to April of last season. Charlotte plays at the second-fastest pace in the league, while Milwaukee is the second-worst team against the three-point shot.

January 16th: Jalen Hurts OVER 16.5 Completions vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In a Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this is a great line to take advantage of for Jalen Hurts. The Philadelphia Eagles backfield will include Miles Sanders (hand), but the Buccaneers were third against the run during the regular season. On the other hand, Tampa Bay was 21st against the pass, allowing a league-high 26.2 completions per game. Hurts has reached the 16.5 mark in each of his last three contests and will be forced to put up points against a Buccaneers offense that finished 2nd in scoring.
