Even at the age of 34, LeBron James has proven to be durable throughout his NBA career. After expressing the displeasure of “load management” by other players around the league earlier in the season, he is now continuing to risk furthering a groin injury by traveling with the Los Angeles Lakers this weekend.
The groin injury to James has been ongoing, and was recently aggravated during Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. James stated the following after the game:
“I got kneed in the groin taking a charge from Pat Bev, and it kind of set me right back to where I was five days ago.”
It was recently reported that multiple teammates have requested that James is sidelined until he fully recovers from the injury. The Lakers will take on the Portland Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks in back-to-back games this weekend.
