Lakers Shower Mozgov in Free Agency Money

The deal was reportedly worth 4 years and $64 million. For a man who didn’t average much of anything so far in his NBA career, Mozgov sure came away as a winner this summer.
Mozgov has been all around the NBA, signing with the Knicks in 2010. From there, he was traded to the Nuggets as a part of the Carmelo Anthony deal. Fast forward 2015, and Mozgov was playing less than five minutes a game with the Cavs during their championship run.
Speaking of dropping money on players, the Lakers also went out and resigned their shooting guard Jordan Clarkson.
It’s being said that the reason the Lakers are spending this type of money on Mozgov and Clarkson is because they failed to reel in big names such as Durant, Whiteside, and even DeRozan.
While I see a major upside in bringing Clarkson back to the roster, I think I speak for just about everyone when I say that Lakers reached on this deal for Mozgov.
