On Friday, the Detroit Pistons and veteran Markieff Morris agreed upon a contract buyout. Just moments after the news broke, it was reported that the Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors have emerged as suitors for the 30-year old.
Morris averaged 11 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game with Detroit. He has previously playing experience with the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Lakers particularly are an interesting fit, considering the Los Angeles Clippers recently added Marcus Morris to their roster ahead of the Trade Deadline. At this time, they are the apparent frontrunner.
